Stars have an interesting story to tell—but where can you start with your visitors? This online workshop covers the science behind two of the 2020 Explore Science: Earth & Space toolkit activities – Star Formation and Nebula Spin Art. After a brief overview of each activity and its resources, our guest content experts discuss how to use the activities on their own or together to introduce the life cycles of stars and their amazing diversity. Where do stars come from? What happens at the end of their lives? And how does our star—the Sun—compare to others in the universe? Online workshop recorded 2-11-2020.
