Online Workshop Recording: Museum Community Partnerships - Afterschool Programs: Advocating, Collaborating and Bringing Earth and Space Content to Out-of-school Time

Online professional development workshop recording (2018).

DESCRIPTION

Afterschool programs provide unique opportunities to engage children of all ages in an out-of-the-classroom environment. No matter the content, these programs serve youth by offering development beyond the classroom, often with real-world experiences and mentoring from local experts. Join us as we discuss ways to connect with current afterschool programs as well as means to develop your own programming around the Explore Science: Earth and Space toolkit. We will be joined by members of the Afterschool Alliance, the leading advocate for youth access to quality afterschool programs, as well as NISE Network partners currently using their toolkits for work during out-of-school time. This workshop was recorded on 5-22-2018.
