DESCRIPTION
The Co-Creating with Communities project brought together educators, community members, and subject matter experts at six sites in the Southwest US to connect STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) with local places and community assets. The summative evaluation studied how participation in the project impacted: the project partners’ capacities to partner with others to co-create activities and integrate locally relevant content; and the public participants’ interest in Earth and space science, understandings of its relevance, and sense of STEM identity.
