Greensboro Science Center recently conducted Family Science Nights at two local Title 1 schools: Jefferson Elementary School and Guilford Elementary School in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The Greensboro Science Center provided 12 hands-on activity stations set up both inside and outside the schools.
Martha Regester, Vice President of Education, shared that these were very busy fun events with at least 195 students at Jefferson and 178 students at Guilford attending the events in addition to their siblings and other family members.
Activities used at the event included:
- NanoDays activity Exploring Materials - Ferrofluid
- NanoDays activity Exploring Size - Smelly Balloons
- Earth & Space kit activities
The events were sponsored by Honda and offered at no charge to families.
