Imagine Nation, a Museum Early Learning Center in Bristol, CT, and a division of the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol, celebrated space science last fall with a Junior Ranger Night Explorer outdoor event. Visitors viewed the Moon and stars using a real telescope, learned how stars form with the Star Formation activity, created a lunar mission with Moon Story Blocks, experimented with Hide and Seek Moon, and crafted a glowing stomp rocket.

Participants did not go home empty-handed, either. Visitors who attended the event went home with a National Park Service Junior Ranger Explorer activity guide and a Night Explorer clothing patch. This program was free to Burlington, CT residents, courtesy of the James R. Parker Trust at the Main Street Community Foundation, and saw many residents participate.

A parent testimonial from the event reads, Thank you so much for an incredible night,” and continues to say that the “night ‘exploded with fun,’” and “it was the best night EVER. It was a special treat for sure and I am so thankful for everyone who spent time teaching our kids tonight."
