Dr. Rusen Yang received his PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007, where he continued as Post Doctoral Associate. He joined Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities as an assistant professor in 2010. He has discovered novel nanostructures, such as ZnO, SnO2, Zn3P2, and investigated their application potentials His most recent work on energy harvester based on ZnO nanowires made significant contribution in the field of energy harvesting. He published about 40 peer-reviewed papers with more than 2,000 citations.
