Hardin Engelhardt’s role as Education and Evaluation Specialist at Marbles includes her involvement in the planning and implementation of museum programming and activities, with a focus on STEM. A graduate of Emory University, Hardin spent six years teaching in Baltimore, MD and San Jose, CA as part of Teach for America before earning a master’s degree in education from the University of California-Berkeley. Hardin worked as a curriculum development and professional development consultant for eight years before joining Marbles in 2009 and holds several NC teaching certificates. Hardin is actively involved in the informal learning research community and has presented at several relevant conferences, including the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network Wide Meeting, the NC Association for the Education of Young Children, the Teach for America 20th Anniversary Summit, and the Association of Children's Museums 2013 Interactivity.
