CASI, The Center for Analysis of Structures and Interfaces, is an institutionalized research center at The City College of New York/City University of New York. CASI's general goal is to use a multidisciplinary approach in the education and training of the next generation of scientist who focus on the integration of science and engineering in order to develop molecular nanodevices, sensors and novel materials for nanotechnology.
CASI in collaboration with the Columbia University NSEC hosts the bi-annual NanoDay in New York event. This event is a citywide activity designed to attract pre-college students into nanoscience and technology. Approximately 500 high school students attended the most recent NanoDay New York program in March of 2007.
