David is Curator, Technology Programs, at the California Science Center. He is responsible for 'Creative World,' one of the two permanent galleries at the Science Center, which deals with the science and technology of transportation, communications, and the built environment. He recently completed Goose Bumps! The Science of Fear,' an NSF supported traveling exhibition currently on a nationwide tour. The exhibit allows visitors to experience fear, measure their response, understand the science behind it, and reflect on its meaning on their life. During his 20+ year tenure at the Science Center, David was responsible for the development of several successful permanent and traveling exhibitions including 'Our Urban Environment,' 'Science in Toyland,' 'California Wine: The Science of an Art,' and more recently, 'Clean Power,' an exhibit on fuel cell cars which received a Muse Award from the American Association of Museums in the Media and Technology category. David also leads the team responsible for the Science Center's Web site. He received his BA in Sociology and International Relations from Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and his MA and PhD in Cultural Anthropology from UCLA.
