Online professional development workshop recording (2020).

DESCRIPTION

This online workshop was recorded February 4, 2020.

How do scientists and engineers design and test components for missions to space? This online workshop covered the science behind two of the 2020 Explore Science: Earth & Space toolkit activities – Design, Build, Test and Mission to Space. After a brief overview of each activity and its resources, our guest presenter, George Gorospe, a research and control systems engineer at NASA Ames Research Center, showed us his lab and answered questions about how he designs, builds, and tests equipment for current and future missions to space.
