How do you engage museum visitors in meaningful conversations about new technology?
How do you convey the relevance of these emerging technologies to daily life?

Join the ASTC Public Engagement with Science Community of Practice for a webinar Tuesday, May 6, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern for the webinar “From Demonstration to Conversation: Engaging Visitors in Technology and Society.” The webinar will feature Brad Herring from the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISEnet), and Ira Bennett and Jameson Wetmore from Center for Nanotechnology in Society at Arizona State University.

Panelists will discuss their collaboration to develop practical and tested resources to help prepare science museums to connect with their communities and make the experience offered relevant to visitors’ lives. Participants will learn key concepts about the relationships between science, technology, and society, and receive specific training for conversation facilitation and hands-on content.
