It is a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers. The SDC serves a wide variety of groups and individuals from the College and surrounding communities in its rural upstate New York location. Since opening in 1990, it has been a cultural and educational destination for approximately 100,000 people. A key feature of the SDC is free admission; operation is supported by the College, grants, volunteer labor, donations, and memberships.
