Petra Bele studied physics at the Naturwissenschaftliche Technische Akademie (NTA) in Isny, Germany and received her PhD at the University of Yamanashi, Japan. With a fundamental background in Electron Spin Resonance and Magnetically Modulated Microwave Absorption on organic metals and superconductors her major research field became Transmission Electron Microscopy including image processing and 3D-reconstruction on biological, solid state samples and catalyst systems. She also is the Associate Editor of the scientific Journal 'Fuel Cells – From Fundamentals to Systems'.
