General Description:
The World of Carbon Nanotubes demonstration was presented July 19, 2006 at the Science Museum of Minnesota during the NISE Exhibits and Programs Workshop. Eight visitors completed self-administered surveys about the demonstration. This formative evaluation assesses the demonstration’s ability to teach visitors about carbon nanotubes.
Major Findings:
The formative evaluation of World of Carbon Nanotubes shows that the majority of visitors grasped one of the demonstration’s three learning goals and/or the big idea. All of the visitors were interested in the demonstration and thought that it was enjoyable. Two thirds thought the demonstration was relevant to them, and none thought that the vocabulary was too hard.
